Music Theory
ABRSM music theory preparation and foundational theory for all instruments.
We offer comprehensive music theory courses to support students’ overall musical development, whether as a foundation for beginners or as preparation for formal examinations.
Our courses include:
- Foundation Music Theory – Designed for beginners to build essential knowledge of notation, rhythm, scales, and core musical concepts
- ABRSM Theory Preparation – Structured courses tailored to support students preparing for graded theory examinations
Lessons are available in both one-on-one and small group formats (2–4 students), allowing for both personalised guidance and interactive learning.
We offer flexible lesson durations of 45, 60, or 90 minutes, depending on the student’s level and learning goals. Small group classes are particularly effective for discussion, exercises, and collaborative learning, helping students deepen their understanding in a more engaging way.
Our teaching approach focuses on making theory practical and accessible, ensuring students can confidently apply their knowledge to instrumental performance and examinations.
